Global Christian Relief has always stood unwavering in its mission—to strengthen and support persecuted Christians worldwide. Now, with the unanimous appointment of Brian Orme as CEO, effective March 17, 2025, the organization is building on its strong foundation, advancing bold new strategies to empower suffering believers and mobilize the global Church like never before.
“This is a deepening of our commitment,” Orme says. “Since we started, GCR has stood alongside our persecuted family, amplifying their voices and mobilizing support. Now, we are praying, planning, and taking action to expand that critical work—so the persecuted Church can continue to be a light in the darkest places.”
The Global Christian Relief Board of Directors fully supports this vision. “Brian’s deep understanding of our mission, combined with his proven leadership and strategic innovation, makes him exactly the right leader for this pivotal season,” says Dr. Francesca Fajinmi, Chair of the Global Christian Relief Board of Directors. “We are confident his guidance will amplify our field work and continue to empower persecuted communities worldwide.”
Orme brings a unique blend of frontline experience, strategic leadership, and storytelling expertise. He founded ChurchLeaders.com, served as Senior Editor at Outreach magazine, and spent over a decade in pastoral ministry—equipping churches for both local and global impact. His passion has always been to connect the Western Church with the persecuted body of Christ, strengthening both through stories that inspire action.

Under his leadership, Global Christian Relief will amplify its frontline reporting, giving supporters an even clearer view of how their prayers and generosity transform lives. “The Church is one body—when one part suffers, we all feel it. We’re committed to standing with our brothers and sisters and ensuring their faith shines even brighter in the face of opposition,” Orme explains.
Beyond his ministry experience, Orme’s 28-year marriage to his wife, Jenna, and their life raising four sons in Dayton, Ohio, ground his leadership in deep faith and perspective.

With persecution intensifying worldwide, GCR is not just responding—we are advancing. “Now is the time to stand firm, press forward, and expand our reach,” Orme says. “We are praying and preparing to strengthen the persecuted Church, so they can continue being a powerful witness to the world.”
As Orme steps into this role with the full confidence and support of the board, Global Christian Relief remains steadfast in its mission—committed to empowering persecuted believers, amplifying their voices, and calling the global Church to deeper faithfulness. The foundation is strong, and the vision is clear: to see the persecuted Church thrive as a beacon of hope, courage, and unshakable faith.
