Our CEO Meet Brian Orme

Brian Orme serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Global Christian Relief (GCR), bringing over eight years of senior leadership within the organization and extensive expertise in global ministry operations.

Brian previously held roles as Chief Field Operations Officer and Vice President of Communications, significantly expanding GCR's global impact across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. His strategic vision and operational acumen have enhanced GCR’s ability to deliver culturally sensitive, highly effective support to persecuted Christian communities.

Before joining GCR, Brian served as Senior Editor for Outreach magazine and launched ChurchLeaders.com as its founding editor—demonstrating his entrepreneurial drive and innovative approach to media and outreach. Additionally, Brian has more than 12 years of pastoral leadership experience, equipping churches to engage deeply with their communities and the global church. Brian holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Cedarville University and a M.A. in Biblical Studies from Trinity Bible College and Seminary.

An expert in empowering persecuted Christians, Brian passionately amplifies their voices through strategic storytelling and advocacy. His leadership embodies integrity, innovation, and strategic excellence, guiding GCR forward in faithfully serving and protecting vulnerable Christian communities worldwide. 

Brian and Jenna, his wife of 28 years, have four sons and two daughters-in-law and live in Dayton, Ohio.

Michael Wong

Chief Financial & Operating Officer

Michael Wong, CPA, leads the organization’s finance, operations, and HR functions. A licensed CPA with nearly two decades of leadership in both nonprofit and corporate sectors, Michael brings deep expertise in financial strategy, systems transformation, and organizational planning. He holds an MBA, a Master of Arts in Bible, and has completed executive training at Harvard Business School.

Tim Muret

Chief Marketing Officer

For Tim, it isn’t simply the challenges facing persecuted Christians that motivate him—it’s the unwavering courage and faith he sees in them. Guided by his faith in Jesus and a belief in the power of story to move hearts, Tim draws on his diverse business background—spanning fundraising, marketing, digital strategy, and organizational growth—to elevate the voices of the persecuted church and invite others into meaningful partnership.

Jim Teall

Chief Development Officer

Joyously serving persecuted Christians for two decades, sharing stories, offering encouragement, and connecting Kingdom investors to people and projects that are advancing the Gospel in the most dangerous places in the world.

Ryan Park

Chief Technology Officer

Ryan Park is a hands-on, leads-by-example technology leader who serves as Chief Technology Officer at Global Christian Relief. He brings 16 years of industry experience to guide the technology strategy.

Sally Rae

Director of Executive Office Operations

Sally provides strategic administrative support to the CEO and the GCR Board of Directors. She serves the entire GCR team in promoting a cohesive company culture through the execution of corporate events, meetings, and spiritual development activities.

Dr. Roger Spoelman

Chair

Dr. Spoelman is Board Chair of BAMF Health and provides leadership and executive coaching to a variety of boards and organizations. He retired in 2018 after 37 years in healthcare leadership, serving as CEO of Mercy Health and holding senior executive roles at Trinity Health, including leading several of its largest regional health systems. He later served as interim CEO of CURE International. A frequent speaker and advisor, Roger is recognized nationally for his expertise in healthcare innovation, governance, and leadership development.

Michelle Norman

Vice Chair

Michelle brings over 20 years of financial leadership experience in nonprofit and for-profit organizations. She's Vice President of Dannah Financial Services and was previously a partner at a national CPA firm. As a California-licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Michelle is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, serves on several boards, and chairs the Finance Committee, providing oversight and strategic guidance on financial stewardship.

Tricia Bell

Board Member

Tricia serves as the Chief Legal Officer at Christian Care Ministry, where she leads the Legal, Procurement, Government Affairs, and Compliance Departments while supporting the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Tricia brings over 21 years of corporate legal experience. A proud Ohio native, Tricia earned her law degree from Capital University Law School and is an alumna of The Ohio State University.

Vlad Makarenko

Board Member

Vlad brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience across business and people functions, having lived and worked in 10 countries. He currently performs as Vice President HR at a multinational pharmaceutical company. As a board member, Vlad is committed to values-based leadership, stewardship, and building organizations that serve people well.

R. York Moore

Board Member

R. York Moore is a speaker, revivalist, abolitionist, AI futurist, and accomplished Tiktoker, currently serving as CEO and President for the Coalition for Christian Outreach. He is the co-founder of the EveryCampus movement, a coalition of organizations and churches seeking God for revival and the author several books, including “Seen.Known.Loved” with Dr. Gary Chapman. York serves a variety of initiatives, coalitions, and boards including board membership with the National Association of Evangelicals. York lives on his farm in the Ann Arbor, MI area with his wife and 3 children.

Justin Tabb

Vice Chair

Cofounder of Centric3, founder of Amplify (cryptocurrency exchange), Substratum (decentralized blockchain based VPN) and OverridePro (consulting company that delivered solutions for Apple, HP, Disney, Kodak, the NBA and many more). Justin helps people solve problems with technology. He lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife Kelly and their children.

Crystal Wilson

Board Member

Crystal is the Director of Fundraising Innovation and Strategy at Compassion International. A University of Michigan graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, she has over 15 years in the automotive industry, leading PR and marketing teams. Licensed to preach at 24, she founded and led a young adult ministry at her church for over five years and served in leadership roles, including Director of Children’s Church at Life Changer’s International. Her most cherished role, however, is being a wife and a mother.

Brian Orme

Brian has served over eight years in senior leadership roles at GCR, previously the Senior Editor for Outreach magazine and founding editor of ChurchLeaders.com. He dedicated 12 years to pastoral leadership after completing seminary.

What is your statement of faith?

I believe in God,

the Father almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died and was buried;

he descended into hell;

on the third day he rose again from the dead;

he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and life everlasting.
