Hope for Displaced Families
Nearly all Armenian Christians have been forced to flee their homes since Azerbaijan's September 2023 offensive in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Displaced families found themselves with nothing – no homes, no businesses, and no way to provide for their families.
But thanks to one faithful partner who responded immediately to the critical need, 32 families have now been set up with sustainable businesses – more than triple the original goal of 7-10!
The project equipped displaced families with the tools and training to launch three types of small businesses tailored to their skills: sewing businesses, beekeeping enterprises, and rabbit breeding farms.
More than income sources, these businesses are pathways to dignity, independence, and hope for families who lost everything.
A Mother Finds Stability
One of the recipients is a mother of four who was having difficulty finding work after displacement. Living in an apartment with 11 family members, caring for her children while searching for work and doing odd jobs wasn't sustainable.
Through this project, she received an industrial sewing machine and started a home-based tailoring business. Now she's able to care for her family while earning a stable income for the entire household.
A Beekeeper Rebuilds
One believer lost all of his hives during displacement. Despite his age, he was determined to rebuild his livelihood and not remain dependent on aid.
However, after further training in beekeeping and receiving startup support, he's now preparing to restart beekeeping professionally.
"This gives me renewed purpose and hope for the future," he says. "I'm grateful for the opportunity – it means I don't have to remain dependent."
“This gives me renewed purpose and hope for the future. ... I don't have to remain dependent.”

By working together, we give displaced believers a way to support their families again. Armenian Christians who might have left their communities can now stay and serve their neighbors. These efforts help strengthen the Armenian church despite attempts to eliminate it.
How to Pray for Armenian Believers
Displaced Armenian families face an uncertain road. Here's how you can stand with them in prayer:
- For the success of new businesses: that these new beekeeping, sewing, and rabbit breeding enterprises would be profitable and sustainable
- For the Armenian church: to remain strong in a place where the enemy tried to wipe it out
- For displaced Christians still looking for work: that the Lord will provide for their needs and open new opportunities for them
