When headlines from Iran speak of bombings, unrest, and fear, it’s easy to feel distant from the suffering. But beneath the surface, God is moving—and the underground church is standing strong.
In recent weeks, military strikes by the U.S. and Israel have shaken Iran. Hundreds of civilians have been killed or injured, and many families have fled major cities. The government has responded with heightened surveillance, mass arrests, and a crackdown on anyone deemed a threat—including Christians. Daily life is marked by anxiety, shortages, and uncertainty. Yet, even now, Iran is home to one of the fastest-growing underground churches in the world.
Our partners tell us that, despite fear and hardship, Iranian believers remain faithful—serving, praying, and trusting God for their future. As one partner shared:
“It is a difficult time. Several of our team members have family in these areas. We are praying that the country will become free from Islamic rule, but also for protection of the many people we know there. Some people are fleeing, and many stores have been bought out. Yet, our brothers and sisters are faithful in their service to God.”

Pray for Protection Over Believers and Their Families
Ask God to shield Iranian Christians from harm as they face both the threat of violence and increased government scrutiny. Many believers are at risk simply for gathering, owning a Bible, or being known as followers of Jesus. Pray for safety for those who have fled and for those who remain.
Pray for Courage and Wisdom for Church Leaders
Underground church leaders are making difficult decisions every day—how to gather, how to support their communities, and how to stay connected when surveillance is everywhere. Pray that God would give them courage, discernment, and peace as they shepherd their flocks in secrecy.
Pray for Peace and Lasting Freedom in Iran
The people of Iran are weary of war and oppression. Pray for an end to violence, for healing across the nation, and for lasting freedom—both spiritual and political. Ask God to bring peace to families, neighborhoods, and the entire country.
Pray That the Light of Christ Would Shine Brighter Than Ever
Even in darkness, the gospel is advancing. Pray that the love and hope of Jesus would shine through His people, drawing many to faith. Ask God to use this moment of crisis to open hearts and bring transformation to Iran.
