Meet the President and CEO of Global Christian Relief, David Curry

David Curry is the President and CEO of Global Christian Relief, an organization that advocates on behalf of those who are persecuted for their Christian faith throughout the world. For nearly a decade, he has worked to raise awareness and support for those who endure extreme restrictions and, in some cases, horrific violence for practicing their faith.

Curry’s vision for Global Christian Relief (GCR) is to create the most extensive, covert network serving persecuted Christians, from North Korea and Iran to Afghanistan and Sudan, and anywhere God’s people are threatened, vulnerable or alone.

Curry has traveled extensively to the field to encourage those living under persecution and to support the work of providing relief. He has traveled throughout Asia, Africa and the Middle East to meet with victims of religious oppression and to hear their stories. He has appeared on CNN, Fox News, and the Christian Broadcasting Network, among others. He is a contributor to Christianity Today, The Christian Post, Religion News Service and Huffington Post.

“We’re committed to raising up the stories of the persecuted church with the White House and other key leaders in Washington.”—David Curry

Prior to his work addressing the needs of persecuted Christians, Curry served as CEO and president at organizations that serve homeless and neglected children in several countries, including India and Peru.

Curry holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwest University in Seattle and an honorary doctorate of humane letters from Faith Evangelical College and Seminary in Tacoma, Washington. He is based in Southern California.

David Curry meets with former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, alongside other advocates for international religious freedom, at the White House to discuss growing concerns for Christians and other religious communities in China.
